How to use

Every weekend, I publish my review of future auction sales on the blog ArtHitParade , under the title ddmm Preview, where dd is the day and mm the month.
I then split this review into the groups of this network, as comments.
When the result is known, I insert it in bold in the same article ddmm Preview on ArtHitParade.

Each day, I select a subject, which I detail in the discussions of the appropriate group of this network.
When the result is known, I record it as a comment to its discussion on this network.

A necklace of diamonds for sale by Tajan on July 29 in Monte Carlo includes a yellow diamond of 10 carats cut in heart shape (330 K €, lot 164). It may be compared with another yellow diamond weighing 13.5 carats carved out in cushion shape and mounted on a ring (Lot 580).

Auction tracking on ArtHitParade :

(2402) Christie's chose the third world auction place, Hong Kong, to sell on May 28 a colourless (F) diamond of 101 carats, shield-shaped (47 million HK$). In the same city Sotheby's had sold on October 8 last year a perfect blue diamond. Shall the Far Eastern gem market now compete with Middle East? According to a tradition that is developing for exceptional gems, the buyer must give a name to this diamond, which was unveiled in the Spring Masterpieces Exhibition of Christie's.

(3003) A 263-carat opale will be sold in San Francisco by Bonhams and Butterfields on June 22 (150 K$). This is not the biggest opale from the sale, but perhaps the most perfect: to attract fans, the auction house announced that it is shaped like a "fried egg"!

(1304) A diamond of 38 carat pear-shaped is estimated 1.8 million £ in the sale of the jewels of Christina Onassis at Christie's in London on June 11. In the same origin, a curiosity: a jade Buddha by Fabergé at 250 K£. From another owner, Christie's announced an exceptional nineteenth century diamond necklace.

(2704) On May 15 in Geneva at Sotheby's, here are an ornament of corsage by Wiese (155 KFS) and a Cartier sapphire of 206 carats crimped of diamonds that passed by the collection of the duchess of Windsor (1,1 MFS). Rings are crimped with colour gems: an oval purplish pink diamond of 5 carats (2,35 MFS, or 470 KFS per carat), a vivid blue pear-shaped diamond of 3,7 carats (2,8 MFS, or 750 KFS per carat) and a Burmese ruby of 14,6 carats surrounded of diamonds (2 MFS).

(2704) On May 28, with the diamond of 101 carats already announced, Christie's Hong Kong presents a green diamond of 10,6 carats (2 M US$, or approximately 200 K$ per carat) and some jadeite jewels: a pair of ear studs (2,3 M US$) and a necklace (2,15 M US$).

(2704) On May 14 in Geneva at Christie's, a ring decorated with a Burmese ruby of 13,7 carats in an important diamond entourage (lot 372) is awaited for 1,6 MUS$ but the estimate is tight. Let us return to diamond with an intense blue of 13,4 carats, also on a ring (6 MUS$, or 440 KUS$ per carat, lot 393).

Your inputs are welcomed

For the time being, I am the only author writing in this network.
My end goal is that my inputs are superseded by yours on the subjects where your knowledge is better than mine.
It must be easy: as a generalist, I am specialist of nothing.
If I meet this goal then I shall "only" act as editor.
