Art lives from the mistakes of this world. To the man who feels that the world is not safe, there are two ways to deal with the expected ups and downs of his life: a horizontal one and a vertical one.
On the horizontal level, he encounters the problem by creating stocks, binds to a human, creates a drainage port, etc, the man is on the flat earth and reaches practical and creative in its means, we are on the field of civilization .
On the vertical level, he met the circumstances in which he begins to see them in new contexts. He will divide his time differently to set up open spaces in which he might one day lead-book, he will turn to meditation or prayer, or simply make art. We are in the realm of culture.

Hello Roland,
Thanks for connecting....
and yes, I have had similar experiences over the years.
Art has changed in many ways over the last century. One of the main changes is also the way it is sold, and with big business being attracted to invest corporal money, it stands the reason, that managers and galleries very often overtake the artists in importance. Naturally it helps to be with the "right" gallery, as it is important how an artist is represented etc. As far as your art is concerned, no, you don't need the "education". Though it may sometimes help to be able to drop the name of your teacher, if he is well known in the art world.

Keep up the good work....
...and all the best,Manfred
