There was ofcourse also the problem of the big quantity in the sale. People couldn't buy everything, had to make choices, resulting in fewer bids, lower prices. It was a good sale for the collectors though....

Welcome on this network, and thank you for your comment concerning the Catteau sale.
There were so many lots sold below the low estimate that I guess that only the top lots had a reserve price. For sure it was a very good auction sale for the collectors. It was also an excellent opportunity for the Catteau committee to put a good light in the media for having their work better known.
